Lefikeng Disabled & Social Training Centre is a Non-Governmental Organisation in Lesotho with its offices at Thaba-Bosiu in Maseru district at the foot of Thaba-Bosiu monument where the Basotho Nation was formed. It was formed by Mr Edgar Moiloa Rantaoleng in September 1998.The Organisation was later registered under the society act of 1966 of Lesotho on the 15 November 2002 with the registration NO. 2002/129. Some of the issues that lead to the formation of this organisation were Poor economic situation, lower standard of living and Education among the poor, vulnerable and disabled children, Lack of basic skills, motivation as well as vulnerability among the people in the community. It engages in helping the Needy and OVC with school fees and other basic needs. It also aims at the issue regarding children who had lost their loved ones because of HIV/AIDS and thus support programs against HIV/AIDS.


Challenges and needs of the organisation

  • Lack of funds to help the children as the number keeps increasing yearly (school fees, school uniforms, textbooks, food).
